CLINICAL SUPERVISION
We are both qualified Supervisors, with experience of supervising Counsellors working in Private Practice, those working in agencies or organisations and Student Counsellors working in placements.
Sara offers supervision for those working with clients aged 18 and upwards whilst Karen offers supervision for those working with children and adults.
We both work therapeutically using an integrative model to individualise support to our counselling clients, meaning we can offer support to Counsellors who work across differing theoretical models.
Our supervision sessions are differentiated according to each Supervisees needs; however we mainly use Inskipp & Proctor's Three Function Interactive Model. This approach means that we consider Formative, Restorative and Normative elements (learning, support and accountability) within your work, as the core approach to our Supervision work. This enables us to work to adapt each session to your specific requirements.
We view Supervision as a safe confidential space where a Supervisee can discuss their work regularly with an experienced counsellor and supervisor. This important part of counselling enables practising counsellors to reflect upon their client work and receive feedback and guidance within a warm, supportive environment. We also encourage and support professional development to our supervisees and so they feel more informed and skilled in their work.
We hold a British Psychological Society (BPS) approved Accreditation in Clinical Supervision, Level 3 Advanced Supervision Skills and BPS approved Certificate in Clinical Supervision, Level 2, Assessed Academic Competence.
We can offer supervision sessions face to face from our therapy rooms in Arborfield Green (Karen), Eversley (Sara), or via Zoom. Our supervision fees are £65 an hour or £90 for 90 minutes.
